Electricity support (elstöd) – an economic support to consumers

Due to increased electricity costs, the government has decided that households will receive electricity support (elstöd) based on their electricity consumption.

Support to households in electricity areas 3 and 4

Households in electricity areas 3 and 4, that is the southern half of Sweden, get electricity support based on their consumption during the period October 2021–September 2022. You get the money if your name was written on the electricity contract on 17 November 2022.

Most households have now received the money in their accounts. People who do not have a registered account will get a voucher. And people who live abroad will get a letter from us with a request for account details.

Support to households throughout Sweden

Households throughout Sweden get electricity support based on their consumption during the period November–December 2022. It is not yet known when payments can begin.

How to redeem a voucher

If we do not have your account in our records, a voucher will be sent to you. You can redeem it free of charge online at swedbank.se. If you redeem it at a ClearOn agent, a fee is added.
