If you have a family member who has passed away and they received benefits or allowances from Försäkringskassan, these will usually cease automatically. Here, you can read what applies for each individual benefit or allowance.

If you received housing allowance, this will cease automatically. But you can apply for housing allowance again for yourself.

If the other parent received any part of the child allowance, the entire amount will now automatically come to you. You do not need to do anything.

If you previously received the entire child allowance, this will continue as usual.

The other parent's days are transferred to you automatically. You do not need to do anything.

If the other parent received childcare allowance, this will cease. If you are taking care of the child instead, you can apply for childcare allowance.
