We support research

The Riksdag has allocated special funds to research on social security. Försäkringskassan therefore has a separate research function, and has established links with qualified representatives from universities and colleges.

Financial support is provided to research projects and research programmes at colleges and universities.

Försäkringskassan is also involved in various collaborative projects with other agencies and organisations.

Call for proposals for research funding

For 2017, Försäkringskassan is calling for proposals for research funding for projects in three social insurance areas – sickness absence and the administration and function of health insurance; disability and the administration and function of social insurance; and child and family benefits.
