Increased co-operation with Arbetsförmedlingen

The Public Employment Service is an important partner for Försäkringskassan. The cooperation begins with a joint review, where the individual participates, with the aim of together identifying the overall need for rehabilitation and to find ways for the individual to obtain employment or return to work. Other partners (e.g. health and medical care services, the municipality, employers) may also participate in the joint review.

Collaborative initiatives

The ambition of Försäkringskassan and the Public Employment Service is for the individual to have access to prompt and active initiatives based on their needs. The initiatives should also be able to be pursued in parallel with other efforts by, for example, employers, the municipality and care providers.

The foundation for our cooperation is that

  • it is characterised by respect, sensitivity and understanding for the individual and for each other
  • the individual is active in their own rehabilitation
  • the individual receives joint support from the Public Employment Service and Försäkringskassan, as long as is necessary.

The goal with the cooperation is to

  • increase the individual's involvement in finding ways that make it possible for him or her to start working.

The target group is

  • individuals who have diminished work capacity due to illness or disability or risk such an impairment and may therefore require coordinated efforts to enter the workplace.
  • both employed and unemployed persons

Among other things, we provide

  • a joint review to clarify the individual's circumstances and need of occupational rehabilitation
  • employment preparation and occupational initiatives in collaboration with the authorities
  • consultative support to employers in order to enable them to discharge their responsibility for rehabilitation
